Best Paper Award in International Conference


Major Riaz Mahmud, Engrs of Civil Engineering department received the best paper award in 12th Global Engineering, Science and Technology Conference for his research work on Structural Retrofitting titled “Experimental and Analytical Assessment of RC Column Jacketing”. This research was supervised by Major Kh Sakil Ahmed, PhD, PEng who is an associate professor of Civil Engineering Department. His outstanding effort is already published in the International Conference proceedings ISBN: 978-1-925488-25-8 (http://www.gistworldconpro.com/conference/8/14) and as a recognition of the performance the paper is forwarded for publication in  the International Journal of Modern Science and Technology (ISSN 2201-6686) published from Australia.

This conference was organized in Bangladesh on 23-24 December, 2016 by Global Institute of Science & Technology, Australia. With the theme “Technology Drives the Future”; this conference was a successful gathering of 68 researchers from home and abroad who presented their individual scientific efforts on five different sectors of technology including, Civil & Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, Water and Coastal Engineering. Professor Dr. Mohammad Ziaul Hoque, performed as Conference Chair who is the President, Global Institute of Science and Technology, Australia and Chairperson, American Research and Publication International, New York, USA. Award ceremony and technical review team was formed with the panel of outstanding scholar like Professor Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice chancellor, Daffodil International University, Dr. Mohammad Zubair Ahmad, Aligarh Muslim University, India, Dr. Ramit Azad, AIUB, Professor Dr. Md. Alamgir Hossain and Dr. Faisal Kader from MIST.
