Seminar on “Resilience in the Information Domain: Combating Misinformation and Disinformation” Successfully Held at MIST
The seminar on "Resilience in the Information Domain: Tools to Address Misinformation and Disinformation on Social Media" was successfully held today at GMMPH, MIST. The event was jointly organized by AFD and CSE Dept, MIST.
We were honored by the presence of Lt Gen (Retd) Abdul Hafiz, ndc, psc as the Chief Guest, and Lt Gen S M Kamrul Hassan, BSP, ndc, hdmc, psc, PhD, PSO, AFD, as the Special Guest. The session was chaired by Maj Gen Md Nasim Parvez, BSP, ndc, afwc, psc, Commandant, MIST.
The seminar was moderated by Brig Gen Mohammad Shahjahan Majib, ndu, psc, Head of CSE Dept, MIST. The keynote speech was delivered by Professor Dr Md Abu Yousuf, Vice Chancellor, University of Frontier Technology, Bangladesh. The panel discussion featured Prof Dr S M Shameem Reza from Dhaka University, Brig Gen Sufi Mohammad Moinuddin, SUP, afwc, psc from NDC and Prof Dr Md Mahbubur Rahman from CSE Dept, MIST.
Participants included armed forces personnel, civil administration officials, law enforcement agencies, as well as faculty members and students of MIST.
The event featured an engaging and lively question & answer session, where participants actively exchanged thoughts, experiences and perspectives on the challenges posed by misinformation and disinformation in today's digital landscape.
